Hi, |
5 |
I have some weird problems with the boot system of my new powerbook 12". |
6 |
The first problem is that i can't start the macosx system. I suppose is a |
7 |
problem with my yaboot.conf. |
8 |
My mac-fdisk info is: |
9 |
|
10 |
/dev/hda1 Apple_partition_map |
11 |
/dev/hda2 Apple_Bootstrap -> The yaboot bootstrap |
12 |
/dev/hda3 Apple_UNIX_SVR2 -> Swap |
13 |
/dev/hda4 Apple_UNIX_SVR2 -> root partition for gentoo |
14 |
/dev/hda5 Apple_HFS -> MacOSX |
15 |
/dev/hda6 Apple_Free -> ¿Why? |
16 |
/dev/hda7 Apple_HFS -> Another Mac partition |
17 |
/dev/hda8 Apple_Free |
18 |
|
19 |
My yaboot.conf is: |
20 |
|
21 |
boot=/dev/hda2 |
22 |
device=hd: |
23 |
partition=4 |
24 |
delay=10 |
25 |
timeout=15 |
26 |
install=/usr/lib/yaboot/yaboot |
27 |
magicboot=/usr/lib/yaboot/ofboot |
28 |
image=/boot/vmlinux |
29 |
label=Linux |
30 |
root=/dev/hda4 |
31 |
read-only |
32 |
macosx=/dev/hda5 |
33 |
|
34 |
Well, my second problem is with the partitions. When i boot the system with |
35 |
the gentoo livecd, the hd is name hda, and the cdrom hdb. But when i boot |
36 |
with the normal system, the hd is hdc, and the cdrom hda. ¿Someone can help |
37 |
me with this? |
38 |
Another question (sorry ^_^), with the livecd I use the 8390 module for the |
39 |
NIC, but I can find this option in my kernel (2.4.24-ppc-r2). ¿What module I |
40 |
have to use with a new powerbook 12" network adapter? ¿some patch? |
41 |
|
42 |
Thanks. |
43 |
Bye |
