While the /usr merge does require people to use initramfs, using
initramfs does not require a /usr merge.

Please, keep two completely separate topics separate like they are. I
am 1000% behind requiring initramfs, I couldn't possibly care less about
/usr merge, in my eyes it's a hack to handle stupidity.

Upstream systemd/udev/whatever is slowly making our lives miserable
because they expect an initramfs to have /usr mounted. Personally, it
isn't so hard to either use initramfs or just not have /usr on it's own
partition. I believe the docs are already mostly updated if not
completely updated already, all we are waiting on is for people to
realize just how impossible it is to keep randomly moving things out of
/usr because people with broken setups can't boot.

Thanks,
Zero
