Hello, |
2 |
|
3 |
In order to ensure the Gentoo GNOME project is in a good standing in |
4 |
terms of GLEP:39 requirement of lead "selection must occur at least |
5 |
once every 12 months" going forward, a lead election was conducted on |
6 |
the project e-mail alias. This started on 13th Feb 2017. |
7 |
|
8 |
As there are no clear suggestions on how this should be done, all |
9 |
project members were nominated with a one week acceptance via GPG |
10 |
signed mail period, followed by a one week period of voting via GPG |
11 |
signed mail to the project alias. In case of equal votes for the |
12 |
winners, they would become co-leads and otherwise the one with most |
13 |
votes would be the lead. No provision was made in case there is only |
14 |
one nominee accepting (this should probably have been made on |
15 |
hindsight). |
16 |
|
17 |
|
18 |
The nomination acceptance period ended on 20th Feb 2017 with one |
19 |
acceptance and one decline responses. |
20 |
|
21 |
The candidates for the team lead were as follows: |
22 |
|
23 |
* leio |
24 |
|
25 |
The voting period ended on 27th Feb 2017 with the following results: |
26 |
|
27 |
* 1 vote for leio |
28 |
* 5 abstains due to no voting by deadline |
29 |
|
30 |
As a result: |
31 |
leio remains the GNOME team lead. |
32 |
|
33 |
The "Last elected" date on the project wiki page has been updated |
34 |
accordingly. |
35 |
|
36 |
|
37 |
Regards, |
38 |
Mart Raudsepp (leio), |
39 |
Gentoo GNOME team lead |
