Hello,

In order to ensure the Gentoo GNOME project is in a good standing in
terms of GLEP:39 requirement of lead "selection must occur at least
once every 12 months" going forward, a lead election was conducted on
the project e-mail alias. This started on 13th Feb 2017.

As there are no clear suggestions on how this should be done, all
project members were nominated with a one week acceptance via GPG
signed mail period, followed by a one week period of voting via GPG
signed mail to the project alias. In case of equal votes for the
winners, they would become co-leads and otherwise the one with most
votes would be the lead. No provision was made in case there is only
one nominee accepting (this should probably have been made on
hindsight).

The nomination acceptance period ended on 20th Feb 2017 with one
acceptance and one decline responses.

The candidates for the team lead were as follows:

* leio

The voting period ended on 27th Feb 2017 with the following results:

* 1 vote for leio
* 5 abstains due to no voting by deadline

As a result:
leio remains the GNOME team lead.

The "Last elected" date on the project wiki page has been updated
accordingly.

Regards,
Mart Raudsepp (leio),
Gentoo GNOME team lead
