The biggest problem I noticed during two years of x86 service was
stabling something like KDE or Gnome. KDE took about five hours (even
with optimisations by doing repoman once locally before --force
committing it to the tree), where people had broken trees after sync
and complained loudly (including insults). We communicated the
forthcoming stabilisation one week ahead via GWN, Planet and
-announce...no help. So branching to KDE-3.5.10-stable, keywording all
packages, merging back in one commit would really help.
