When setting up a new server, there are invariably a half-dozen stupid |
2 |
little details that I forget to set. Configuring xinetd for a particular |
3 |
service, chmod'ing wtmp because I'm paranoid, etc. Since each server is |
4 |
different, I can't simply make a list and check it twice. |
5 |
|
6 |
I've had some luck with making a list of high-level things such as |
7 |
"configure xinetd, configure syslog" etc. but that doesn't always give |
8 |
enough detail. |

I'm curious what other folks have found that works well for them. What do |
11 |
you do to remember all the little details that are associated with |
12 |
fine-tuning a new server? |
