For those of you who are interested in backing up Mac OS X clients with |

Bacula I just discovered one gotcha... Bacula will only back up data |

forks from HFS/HFS+ filesystems. |

If you want to use Bacula to back up data and resource forks on a Mac |
| 6 |
OS X client it must use UFS for its filesystem, not HFS/HFS+. Mac OS X |
| 7 |
can do this no problem providing it was configured this way during the |
| 8 |
OS install. If it wasn't there's a little bit of work involved in |
| 9 |
changing the filesystem type (you have to use Carbon Copy Cloner or |
| 10 |
similar to copy your install to a different drive, format the original |
| 11 |
drive as UFS and then restore your system to the now-UFS formatted |
| 12 |
volume). |
