Chris, |

I have just setup Gentoo on a 360DL. When booting from the 1.4 CD the |
4 |
drive showed up as /dev/cciss/disc0/disc, part1, part2, etc. |
5 |
|
6 |
However, after the reboot they show up as /dev/cciss/c0d0p1 etc. This |
7 |
was using gs-sources with the cciss driver compiled in so I didn't have |
8 |
to arse around with a initrd. |
9 |
|
10 |
as for the boot sector, from the CD I used /dev/cciss/disc0/disc for |
11 |
fdisk and lilo. Once into my system, I made changes to lilo.conf so |
12 |
that it read /dev/cciss/c0d0 |
13 |
|
14 |
Note: This was not a raid setup, just a single disk attached to the |
15 |
controller. I assume since it is hardware raid tho, that gentoo see's |
16 |
it the same. |
