I'm still looking for a good disaster recovery/backup solution for Gentoo; |

as we use already Veritas to backup our MS servers (essentially because of |

Exchange / SQL) I've tried to install the Backup Exec agent for Unix on a |

few servers to keep the same solution for our entire infrastructure. (For |

the disaster recovery I'm waiting for the Gentoo Installer before replacing |

the bare metal) |

This message is more targetted for Andy as he seems to be more lucky than |

me. So I've installed be.agent (provided with Backup Exec 9.0) and |
| 13 |
configured it to advertise to our NT BE server. The Gentoo servers are |
| 14 |
appearing into the Remote Selections - Unix Agents, I can browse the |
| 15 |
exported directories but when I try to backup something it fail with the |
| 16 |
following error : |
