Hello, |
2 |
|
3 |
We currently use the /dev/scsi/host/bus/target/lun/ naming schema from |
4 |
devfs. We now need multipath support and thus require upgrading to udev |
5 |
for this purpose. Once we upgraded to udev, we found that there is no |
6 |
longer a /dev/scsi/* hiarchy. Is there a udev naming scheme |
7 |
besides /dev/sd*? /dev/sd* naming is unreliable for us as the number of |
8 |
devices change from time to time, thus anything which uses /dev/sd* |
9 |
naming will be accessing the wrong device. |
10 |
|
11 |
Is there a naming scheme for udev that lets us access a device by its |
12 |
physical location or is there a set of rules that will create devices |
13 |
for us in this manner? |
14 |
|
15 |
I appreciate the help. |
16 |
|
17 |
|
18 |
Thanks, |
19 |
Ben |
