hi all, |
2 |
|
3 |
I've been attempting to bootstrap a company and I believe we're |
4 |
reaching a point where it would be nice to put an HTTP load balancer |
5 |
in front of two web servers. I have two identical machines running |
6 |
Gentoo very well, one acting as the primary web server, and the other |
7 |
sitting idle. |
8 |
|
9 |
I priced out load balancer hardware and found it prohibitively |
10 |
expensive. then I found PLB, Pure Load Balancer: |
11 |
|
12 |
http://plb.sunsite.dk/ |
13 |
|
14 |
and imagine my delight when I found that there's an ebuild for it. |
15 |
|
16 |
so I'm in the process of prepping a server to act as a load balancer |
17 |
running PLB, and I wanted to know if anyone had had any experiences, |
18 |
good or bad, running PLB on Gentoo. |
19 |
|
20 |
if not, I'll be moving ahead in the next couple weeks and will share |
21 |
my experiences with the group. :) |
22 |
|
23 |
cheers, |
24 |
|
25 |
