Hi all,

I am Rajula. I am currently in my junior year of Integrated Masters at International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore, India. I would first like to apologize for having to send this introductory mail. I got swamped with exams & personal commitments. I hope it is not late.

I have gone through the projects & I am interested in two projects, 'kernel live check' & 'Elivepatch'. Though I am new to gentoo, I am familiar with Linux Kernel. I have been spending some time to get to know about gentoo. Besides, I have good knowledge of C & python. I tried to look into the Kernel live check repo, I am not able to access the CI. Can I get some help with this?

Please let me know if there is anything I need to know about the projects or application in general. I am on the irc with nick 'rajula'.

Thanks,

Rajula

Thanks for your interest in this projects.
Is nice to know that you have familiarity with linux kernel.
It will be great if you could try out and get familiar with Gentoo.
Because that is the common ground for doing GSoC with Gentoo.
You can also check and help out in the elivepatch-client[1],
elivepatch-server[2] and
Kernel live check [3] github repository/issues.

Have you still problem accessing the CI [4] ?
I have no problem from here.

Hey Alice & other mentors,

I hope this is not a bad time. For the past week or so I have been trying to get familiar with gentoo. It took some time to setup the environment. I had fun installing it nevertheless I had to try multiple times because of some mistake. Now, I started looking to the code base of Kernel_CI. I tried to get familiar with buildbot by setting it up on my system. I want to contribute before I go on with my proposal ( I know I am late in that too :( ). I thought I can ask you for some help in doing my initial contributions. I hope it's fine. Also, I would like to ask a few questions about the project for the proposal. Is it possible to have a one on one chat, or should I just email you the questions I have? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Best,

Rajula

nice to know that you could set up your buildbot instance and that you are
looking the kernel ci code.

would be nice if you could join #gentoo-kernel on freenode and discuss your
idea.
As now the main discussions about Gentoo kernel ci is done in that channel.

I thought I can ask you for some help in doing my initial contributions. I
