You have all been working on your projects for quite some time now, and |

while I hope that you are all where you wished to be time and |

progression wise I notice that only one of you have provided us with a |

status report so far. |

I would appreciate it if you could all (students and mentors) send me a |
| 9 |
status update as to where you are currently at, what your experiences so |
| 10 |
far have been and generally give us an idea of whats left to do and |
| 11 |
whether we can do anything to help you along the way. The status e-mails |

can be e-mailed to christel@g.o and g2bjoom@g.o |

It would be beneficial to have weekly status reports, either to us |
| 15 |
directly or to the gentoo-soc@l.g.o mailing list and I would |
| 16 |
like to see this as of next monday, thanks. |

Also, only two of you replied to my initial welcome e-mail, if any of |
| 19 |
you should still require access to our nice and shiny soc box for |
| 20 |
hosting of code or testing, please forward your ssh key to |

I must also apologise that I have been unable to spend as much time with |
| 24 |
you all as I had originally hoped, I managed to injure my back last |
| 25 |
month and what I had hoped would be a few days of pain has turned into |
| 26 |
weeks of being on a constant morphine high and having chiropractic |
| 27 |
treatment while waiting to be seen by a specialist from the back pain |
| 28 |
management clinic. |

Due to this I am unable to spend large amounts of time in front of the |
| 31 |
computer at present, and you may find that Grant is more responsive than |
| 32 |
I am. Please do not be afraid of getting in touch with him, or myself, |
| 33 |
should you not need a urgent reply. |

While I am unable to spend as much time interacting with you all as I |
| 36 |
would like, I appreciate that this responsibility is mine and I will |
| 37 |
make an effort to ensure that I get in touch at least weekly to get |
| 38 |
status updates as well as to talk with you all about any issues or |
| 39 |
wishes you may have. |
