22 If you have a stage3, there are ways to recover the compiler; the
23 suggested approach is one. (You are really doing enough of a reinstall so
24 that you can quickpkg gcc, and for that, all you need is to be able to
25 point quickpkg into your unpacked stage3.)

27 You should also be able to copy enough of gcc into your system to rebuild
28 it (/usr/share/gcc*, /usr/lib/gcc*, the compiler itself, and
29 /etc/env.d/05gcc), or perhaps bring in your stage3 version of
30 /etc/env.d/05gcc, modify it to point into your unpacked stage3, env-update
31 and go from there).
