8 My recollection of the problems that led to blackdown being masked in
9 the newer profiles is as below. Basically there were two main
10 problems that were noticed.

12 - Using a newer gcc and glibc than was in the 2005.x profiles caused
13 failures with blackdown (probably broken library dependencies).
14 - Even when it did work, there were problems on multi-processor
15 systems where applications would fail to build but worked just fine on
16 a single processor system
