Hi guys,

Nice to see some impressive entries for the site redesign. I particularly
like Aaron Shi's nav bar new logo for Gentoo, although I really much prefer
the simple navigation of Derek Gerstmann's site -- I don't like Aaron's use
of stock photos which gives the site an overly generic look. Too bad the
contest doesn't allow for a way to combine the best aspects of several
submissions. I think that would be a better service to the community.

Anyway, if you eventually end up using Aaron's logo as a tradmark, you will
need to drop the "Linux" from the logo as Linux is a registered trademark of
Linus Torvalds, and we can't have Linus' trademark as part of our trademark
(that's the law.) Just wanted to make the trustees aware of this. Note that
"Red Hat," "SuSE," do not have "Linux" in their actual logo. Although
Mandrake is now calling themselves "Mandrakelinux," which may be a
loop-hole, although I'd imagine that it wouldn't be optimal to change names
to "Gentoolinux."

Regards,
