nachdem mir hier niemand helfen konnte habe ich mir eben selbst geholfen. ;)

Dass ich "out of memory" bin wollte ich nicht glauben. Immerhin 248MB + 
500MB Swap. Also kurzerhand auf einer Konsole kompiliert und auf der 
anderen mit top den Memory und Swap beobachtet. Und der Swap war auch 
nur halb belegt und beim RAM noch 1,5 MB frei als wieder der Fehler kam.

Trotzdem habe ich mal den xfs und xserver und alle unbenötigten daemons 
und modules entladen und einen neuen Versuch gestartet. Und siehe da: 
Erfolg! Läuft übrigens recht flüssig.

Jetzt funktioniert nur eclipse-cdt nicht, da das ebuild eine nicht 
existente Datei sucht und ich mal wieder nicht weiter weiß. Wird schon :)
