The German tech bubble has a saying when it’s about Seagate: “Sie geht oder
sie geht nicht”. It plays on the fact that “sie geht” (literally “she runs”¹,
meaning “it works”) sounds very similar to “Seagate”. So the literal joke is
“Either it works or it doesn’t”, and the meta joke is “Seagate or not
Seagate”.
¹ hard disk (“die Festplatte”) has feminine grammatical gender in German
