Hello everyone, |
2 |
|
3 |
I have two gentoo boxen w/ identical ppp config files. |
4 |
One connects to the web, the other doesn't: |
5 |
|
6 |
[snip] |
7 |
Dec 21 10:28:16 localhost pppd[5338]: sent [PAP |
8 |
AuthReq id=0x1 user="enbtloc1@×××××××.com" |
9 |
password=<hidden>] |
10 |
Dec 21 10:28:16 localhost pppd[5338]: rcvd [PAP |
11 |
AuthNak id=0x1 "Access Denied"] |
12 |
Dec 21 10:28:16 localhost pppd[5338]: Remote message: |
13 |
Access Denied |
14 |
Dec 21 10:28:16 localhost pppd[5338]: PAP |
15 |
authentication failed |
16 |
Dec 21 10:28:16 localhost pppd[5338]: sent [LCP |
17 |
TermReq id=0x2 "Failed to authenticate ourselves to |
18 |
peer"] |
19 |
Dec 21 10:28:17 localhost pppd[5338]: rcvd [LCP |
20 |
TermAck id=0x2] |
21 |
Dec 21 10:28:17 localhost pppd[5338]: Connection |
22 |
terminated. |
23 |
Dec 21 10:28:17 localhost pppd[5338]: Hangup (SIGHUP) |
24 |
Dec 21 10:28:17 localhost pppd[5338]: Exit. |
25 |
|
26 |
Both passwords are identical. Both accounts were set |
27 |
up using pppconfig. Main->Change->Select->Properties |
28 |
display identical pages. The difference in the |
29 |
hostnames between the two machines shouldn't be a |
30 |
problem; they weren't before. It's not a fault of the |
31 |
hardware, since the bad gentoo box will connect using |
32 |
Windows. |
33 |
