Howdy Gentooers.

I've created a relatively simple ebuild that strictly follows Dave
Sill's "Life with qmail" instructions found at http://
www.lifewithqmail.org. I'd be happy if a few other folks could test
it out as well.

From the web page:

"qmail mail server software, installed and patched per http://
www.lifewithqmail.org

NOTE: This ebuild breaks and differs from standard and accepted
Gentoo conventions, with strict intention of following the "Life With
qmail" installation instructions as closely as possible; but
automating the process with Portage. Therefore, you may notice
untypical behavior from this package (no /etc/init.d/ script, for
instance).

AGAIN, if you're looking for qmail done the "Gentoo way", use the
Gentooified qmail package included in portage; you will be happier.
However, if you are a minimalist and prefer things done according to
DJB himself and most of the qmail pros on the qmail mailing list,
look no further.

FINAL NOTE: ucspi-tcp and daemontools are installed along with
netqmail in this ebuild, per the LWQ guide. You will receive "blocks"
from portage if those packages have been installed seperately, so
don't fret!"
