8 This is not always the case, I had a Dell printer using an RPM that
9 would not install properly. It was placing files in places where Gentoo
10 did not expect to see them. I unpacked it and installed it manually and
11 got it working.

13 The easiest way to install it is to see if there's an ebuild available
14 in an overlay.

16 Scanners can be picky in linux. I bought a Canon flatbad knowing it had
17 support in linux. A newer model of the same line of scanner that I have
18 is *not* supported properly in linux. To give you an idea.
