7 AFAICR none of the available CD filesystems support the full range of
8 Unix filenames.

10 If this is for backup purposes you might be better off just making a tar
11 file and burning that directly to CD - tar is designed for archiving,
12 after all. The resulting CD will be readable by e.g. "tar
13 tvf /dev/cdrom".
