Hey everybody!

I've upgraded to kernel 2.6.19 (gentoo sources) a few days ago however I
can't get my DVD Drive working correctly.

I got an Dell Inspiron 9400 Royal. lspci tells me that I have an ICH7
Chipset [00:1f.2 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7
Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller IDE (rev 01)]

Here is all my relevant kernel configuration:

Serial ATA (prod) and Parallel ATA (experimental) drivers
<*> ATA device support
<*> AHCI SATA support
<*> Intel PIIX/ICH SATA support

ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support
< > ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support

SCSI device support
<*> SCSI disk support
<*> SCSI CDROM support
<*> SCSI generic support

DMA Engine support
[*] Support for DMA engines
[*] Network: TCP receive copy offload
< > Intel I/OAT DMA support

My SATA DVD Drive is configured as an UDMA/33 Drive as dmesg | grep DMA
tells me
...
ata2.00: ATAPI, max UDMA/33
ata2.00: configured for UDMA/33
...

Btw.: It worked perfectly well under openSUSE 10.2 (don't have it
installed anymore, so I can't check which drivers were used) and gentoo
kernel 2.6.18-r6 (I also used the ATA_PIIX driver there).

Any hints?

Cheers,
Jay
