Diagnosing network issues without details is a little difficult, but here's a |
4 |
list to start with: |
5 |
|
6 |
1. Your dlink router is god, as far as your box is concerned. It should be |
7 |
the only entry listed in /etc/resolv.conf as it is caching/forwarding dns on |
8 |
behalf of your network. |
9 |
|
10 |
2. Verify that you have your ip address set to be a child of the router. It |
11 |
will either be set up with a 10.x.x.x or a 192.168.x.x addressing range. If |
12 |
you're using dhcp, then your dhcp client should be pointed to the router to |
13 |
get it's ip address. |
14 |
|
15 |
Once you have all of this setup verified, start by eliminating networking |
16 |
problems in your internal network - make sure you can ping the router. |
