5 This happened to me a while back. Here's what I did.

7 Change your /etc/make.conf to include +jack +jack-tmpfs and +portaudio if

9 Recompile all the packages with jack support. emerge --update --newuse world
10 should do it i guess.
11 Emerge qjackctl.
12 Then emerge rosegarden with -arts and +jack..
13 Then simply start qjackctl and start jack server before starting rosegarden.

15 This is assuming that you have timidity++ working properly beforehand and that
16 it is started before starting jack.
