I've recently done an install based loosely on the 1/3 method but |
2 |
using 2005.1 as the base. Everything works fine except for an error |
3 |
message which I get on bootup. Every time I boot, I get the message: |
4 |
|
5 |
cdrom: open failed |
6 |
cdrom: open failed |
7 |
|
8 |
I get the message twice as shown. I'm guessing I get the message twice |
9 |
because I have 2 optical drives in the system. Based on when the |
10 |
message pops up, it appears that the message is coming from /sbin/rc. |
11 |
When I looked at the script, however, I can't find anything trying to |
12 |
open a cdrom drive. |

14 |
Some potentially relevent info: |
15 |
|
16 |
Kernel: 2.6.13-ck5 |
17 |
GCC: 3.4.4-r1 |
18 |
glibc: 2.3.5 |
19 |
|
20 |
If anybody needs any additional info, I'll be happy to post it. I |
21 |
didn't want to spam the list unnecessarily. |
22 |
|
23 |
Thanks, |
24 |
Carl |
