Hi. . . . again, |
2 |
|
3 |
Well, I did my upgrade with gcc. Then I went and done the KDE 3.5 |
4 |
upgrade. I have a problem or two and just want to do a emerge -e world |
5 |
and go to bed for a while. It is not a pretty site though. This is |
6 |
just *some* of what I get: |
7 |
|
8 |
> root@smoker / # emerge -epv world |
9 |
> |
10 |
> These are the packages that I would merge, in order: |
11 |

12 |
> Calculating world dependencies ...done! |

14 |
> kde-base/kdeaddons-3.5.0) |
15 |
> [blocks B ] =kde-base/konq-plugins-3.5* (is blocking |

> kde-base/kdebase-3.5.0-r1) |
21 |

22 |
> kde-base/kdebase-3.5.0-r1) |
23 |
> [blocks B ] =kde-base/ksmserver-3.5* (is blocking |
24 |
> kde-base/kdebase-3.5.0-r1) |
25 |
> [blocks B ] =kde-base/khelpcenter-3.5* (is blocking |
26 |
> kde-base/kdebase-3.5.0-r1) |
27 |

35 |

36 |
> kde-base/kdebase-3.5.0-r1) |

I have the kde-base stuff in package.keywords, What else do I need to |
40 |
do so it will not block me from doing a emerge -e world? Do I need to |
41 |
add it to another package.* file? |
42 |
|
43 |
One of these days, I'm going to learn all this stuff. ;) Wait, they |
44 |
will change it when I do though. |
45 |
|
46 |
Thanks |
47 |

To err is human, I'm most certainly human. |

I have four rigs: |
55 |

1: Home built; Abit NF7 ver 2.0 w/ AMD 2500+ CPU, 1GB of ram and right now two 80GB hard drives. |
57 |
2: Home built; Iwill KK266-R w/ AMD 1GHz CPU, 256MBs of ram and a 4GB drive. |
58 |
3: Home built; Gigabyte GA-71XE4 w/ 800MHz CPU, 128MBs of ram and a 2.5GB drive. |
59 |
4: Compaq Proliant 6000 Server w/ Quad 200MHz CPUs, 128MBs of ram and a 4.3GB SCSI drive. |

All run Gentoo, all run folding. #1 is my desktop, 2, 3, and 4 are set up as servers. |
