This issue started as part of thread on installing, |
9 |
via 2006.1 on an amd-k6. I decided to start a new |
10 |
thread on the P-pro 200MHx glic-2.4 upgrade issue: |
11 |
> > The livecd is only for arch >= i686 (AMD-K6 isn't fully i686) so, |

14 |
OK, this was going to be my next attempt.... |
15 |
Confusing, because I have a Pentium Pro 200MHz that is |
16 |
i686 (CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu") |
17 |
with this info from /proc/cpuinfo: |
18 |
flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 mtrr pge mca cmov |

23 |
Hmmm. Good point. |
24 |
The Pentium Pro mentioned above is stopped during the upgrade of |
25 |
glibc 2.4. It told me to add "nptl nptlonly" to the USE flags. |
26 |
I did and issued 'emerge --resume". Hopefully this one makes it to |
27 |
glibc-2.4 and gcc-4.1 ? |

This minimized (no X, scant USE flag settings) system |

Any suggestions, or 'pearls of wisdom' ??? |
