5 Gentoo's install guide is very well written and i18ed, at least in my native language.

7 It takes the user step by step to prepare his enviroment, to install the distro, and to finalize it, always explaining every step and giving choices.

9 First time I installed gentoo my only linux experience was 8 months of suse, I am not an IT person, but I haven't found the installation that painful.
