Portage probably left a dir names /var/db/pkg/games-fps/-MERGING-nexuiz-*. |

Simply renaming that dir to remove the -MERGING- allows you to unmerge |

whatever was already merged... |

# cd /var/db/pkg/games-fps |

# mv -- {-MERGING-,}nexuiz-* |
