[gentoo-user] KDE weirdness

I just built my machine from scratch with 2006.1 and I've got some 
weird behavior.

Here's what happened: in KDE "bouncing" icons on "startup 
notification" and rounder corners don't show up the way they supposed 
to ( 
http://makovey.objectis.net/Members/dimon/issues/rounded_corners ). 

it looks like transparency is gone from both. Same happens with 
mouse-overs and rounded tooltip bars etc. Prbably it's not strictly 
KDE-related but that's where I can see it right away.

for reference here are hardware specs:

Dell Latitude D420
i915 graphics
1.5G RAM
Core Duo 1.2G

Portage was synced no more than a week ago.
