1 The others have told you how to incorporate it in portage. It is nice to write an ebuild for these things as it makes updating and removal of the package easy.

4 remeber where you installed it to updating and removal of two files

7 OTOH writing an ebuild is a useful skill to learn, I did it for a game
8 recently and learned a lot. I can now install and remove the game, and
9 update it at will.
