Hey James, |
2 |
I'm a happy vmware server user on gentoo. |
3 |
But I did try following the guidelines on that url you supplied, and I |
4 |
wasn't able to start vmware. |
5 |
I did found a work around, first emerge vmware-workstation, when that's done |
6 |
untar the vmware-server in /opt. |
7 |
And then run the vmware-install.pl, this will overwrite the |
8 |
vmware-workstation files. And last thing run vmware-config.pl. |
9 |
If everything when according to plan, the vmware-config script will start |
10 |
the vmware service. |
11 |
One more thing I did, was manually remove vmware-workstation from world. |

I have plenty of common sense, |
38 |
I just choose to ignore it. |
