Windows XP is very odd when it comes to looking up shares from other
computers. Go into your connection properties, uncheck File and Print
Sharing, then restart. Add File and Print Sharing back in. Do the same
with the guest account next. Finally, very temporarily share your first
hard drive just to enable file sharing. Once it's on, you can immediately
turn it back off. Reboot and you should be good to go.

This applies to any type of incoming machine, be it linux, windows, mac.
