9 I think you need to set passive on before you do any data transfers. I
10 know that with my copy, ncftp will hang while waiting on a active
11 transfer to finish. I normally have to terminate the program (CTRL-Z ;
12 jobs -l ; kill $PID). However, I've been able to set the passive option
13 before I've transfered any files.

15 You can also try "wget" if you know the file path, and just want to
16 retreive a file.
