Additional thought. If you have upgraded recently without rebuilding |

your profile, you might try copying your bookmarks |

(~/.mozilla/firefox/?????/bookmarks.html) somewhere safe, and then cd |

.mozilla; rm -r firefox. ????? above will be a different directory |

name on any system. The restart firefox, shutdown again, and copy back |

your bookmarks to ~/.mozilla/firefox/?????/bookmarks.html (this will |

be a different directory name that the original one). |
