17 Won't cause any problems, since as mentioned by other posters, -a
18 implies -p. Even if it didn't, you wouldn't have problems because your
19 sync timestamp is contained in /usr/portage/timestamp.chk. As long as
20 the *contents* of this file are not modified, your syncs will be fine.
21 Other portage stuff does not use timestamps as far as I know (of files
22 in /usr/portage anyway).
