8 Why do you need to bypass CUPS?

10 If you have a raw print stream, just ensure you have
11 application/octet-stream enabled. To do this, simply cd to /etc/cups
12 on the machine that owns the printer(s) and edit mime.convs and
13 mime.types. You will easily see the octet-stream support near the
14 bottom of each of these files.
