Do you have media-sound/alsa-driver installed? If so, that is the |

cause of your problem -- just emerge -C alsa-driver. That package |
| 13 |
is only for people who are testing/debugging alsa-drivers (or using |
| 14 |
prehistoric kernels on new hardware). |
