12 I'd suggest to delay the update 'till it hits stable.

14 "Stable" and "testing" are different branches, after all, and if you
15 mix them, results should be pretty much unpredictable, since both are
16 tested as-is.
17 So any package in your ("stable") branch will have baselayout-1
18 compatible script running with openrc and baselayout-2 scripts, which
19 are _known_ to be incompatible in some cases.
20 Of course, hitting "stable" branch should mean that package spent some
21 time in "testing" and init-script has been modified to be compatible
22 with both branches, but still I doubt that the overal result should be
23 more stable than "testing" branch, since no-one has really tested your
24 particular package mix.
