I have just tried to emerge cinelerra-cvs-20051005, but this fails. I have |
2 |
pasted the error messages a little ways down below. |
3 |
|
4 |
I believe that all the undefined references are to do with xfree86. I have |
5 |
xorg-x11-6.8.2-r4 installed. This shouldn't make any difference should it? |
6 |
|
7 |
I have been having a number of ebuilds fail recently due to various undefined |
8 |
references, but I haven't been able to find a common denominator between |
9 |
them. For instance abiword, which had compiled cleanly on my system before, |
10 |
stopped doing so until I manually removed some outdated versions of libstdc++ |
11 |
from /usr/lib (see recent thread "using g++ instead of gcc to build |
12 |
abiword"). I have, for instance been unable to build kgamma-3.4.1 and |
13 |
kdegraphics-kfile-plugins-3.4.1. kgamma fails with an "undefined reference |
14 |
to `__gnu_cxx::__exchange_and_add(int volatile*, int)'". Unfortunately I will |
15 |
have to emerge -e system before I can remember which other ebuilds failed. |
16 |
Some of them may well have been fixed when I solved my problem with abiword. |
17 |
|
18 |
Is there a single underlying problem here, or am I just a victim of capricious |
19 |
fate? |
