9 against libxcb, some other libraries which I haven't rebuilt after
10 rebuilding libX11 might (though is this a bug in portage? I think that
11 either revdep-rebuild should rebuild those packages OR that emerge
12 --depclean shouldn't have removed libxcb).

14 After rebuilding libXpm, libXtst and libXft (I don't actually know
15 which one is the culprit, I just rebuild all the other X related
16 libraries that appeared on the problematic invocation), xkbd now
17 builds fine.
