Hello, |
2 |
|
3 |
This is my first installation of Gentoo. I am at the |
4 |
section 6.a in the installation manual for 2005.1 |
5 |
Handbook. I started the installation yesterday (upto |
6 |
chapter 5.e) and left it since it was quite confusing |
7 |
to get the system started/installed. |
8 |
|
9 |
Today, when I tried to do chrooting I got the |
10 |
following message. |
11 |
|
12 |
livecd / # chroot /mnt/gentoo /bin/bash |
13 |
chroot: cannot run command `/bin/bash': No such file |
14 |
or directory |
15 |
|
16 |
livecd / # ls -l /bin/bash |
17 |
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 680316 Jul 22 18:23 /bin/bash |
18 |
|
19 |
livecd / # file /bin/bash |
20 |
/bin/bash: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, |
21 |
version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.4.1, dynamically |
22 |
linked (uses shared libs), stripped |
23 |
[subbarao@localhost ~]$ |
24 |
|
25 |
I cannot figure out why it is saying that there is no |
26 |
'bash' file. Can someone please explain what steps I |
27 |
am missing? |
28 |
|
29 |
Thank you in advance. |
