16 Basically, it's kind of a user-friendly combination of the two. Your
17 config files are modular (or monolithic if you prefer) and in the old
18 xorg.conf style (can be read and edited more easily by humans), but
19 can use udev to describe any hardware device with precision. So it
20 should be able to have the power of HAL with the ease/familiarity of
21 the old config files.
