11 Not necessarily, it's a catch-all term for network storage, it would be
12 ownCloud running on a LAN. However, professionally provided services are
13 many orders of magnitude safer than storing important files on a no-name
14 USB stick using a reverse engineered filesystem running through a
15 userspace layer.

17 Or you could simply use a shared folder synced with something like
18 SyncThing for everyone to access the files. Then you have safer hard
19 drive storage and some level of backup.
