1 Just fixed a similar problem. The answer(for me) was
2 in the config.log. It wasn't flagged as an error just
3 a line saying "/usr/local/include not a dir". At which
4 point output simply stopped without a whimper. Sure
5 enough 'include' was a file containing an include file
6 with a different name--there never was a
7 /usr/local/include dir. Once that was sorted all was
8 serene :)
