8 And at about the same time this was reported to bugzilla [1]. The problem is
9 that the dev who commited the ebuild hasn't uploaded the patchset yet. The
10 solution was to package.mask the ebuild. You could have done the same
11 manually by adding the ebuild to /etc/portage/package.mask:

13 # echo =sys-devel/binutils-2.16.1-r3 >> /etc/portage/package.mask

15 Don't do this now as it has been done in the tree but that would be the proper
16 solution if you weren't going to file a bug anyway, rather than asking this
17 list if others were experiencing the same bug.
