39 I had issues on various packages after an emerge update too. I think it
40 was a baselayout issue. Seems the new baselayout (dunno from what time
41 on) doesn't handle kernels prior to 2.6.14 correctly. Downgrade your
42 portage and see when all for kernel 2.6.12 starts working again.
