This solution looks promising. I don't like the "perl -MCPAN ..." suggestion earlier+ |
25 |
because it installs files outside of the control of portage. |
26 |
|
27 |
calling |
28 |
*#* g-cpan -g Locale::Language |
29 |
|
30 |
gives me ** *The option you have chosen isn't supported without a configured overlay. |
31 |
|
32 |
The homepage does not give a clue on how the overlay have to be specified. |
33 |
|
34 |
I have a local repository defined as in |
35 |
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:AMD64/Portage/ |
36 |
CustomTree#Defining_a_custom_repository |
37 |
|
38 |
You have to set PORTDIR_OVERLAY explicitly. A hint on the homepage would be nice. |
39 |
Maybe the tool can be redesigned to use the directory /etc/portage/repos.conf instead. |
40 |
|
41 |
After that it works well. |
42 |
|
43 |
Thanks for your help. |
44 |
|
45 |
kind regards |
46 |
Petric |
