I feel, stupid. The answer was in the arcane bios settings. |

I has to delete the bios harddrive entries and let |

the bios "auto" discover the master boot drive. Once I did |

that, grub popped up like a fresh daisy.... |

Now, in the next few days, I'm going to put the HD onto |

a 4 gig CF card and one of those ide to CF converters and |

see how it goes..... |
