The way I avoid these issues it is to compile all usb/bluetooth/filesystems/etc |

drivers (except controllers and other non-removable stuff) as modules. It's not |

very gentooish and I've noticed that it does slow udev startup a bit but I |

want everything I plug in to just work without having to rebuild my kernel and |

figuring out the right modules. |
